Officially Fall, Y'all!

It may officially be the first day of fall, but with 80 degree weather still in the mix for us here in Oklahoma, I am not giving up hope for the possibility of getting a tan before I'm forced* into my leggings, boots and long sleeve tees.

Don't get me wrong, I loooove fall. I love it. But, it seems as though it only lasts for a good 30 seconds before it gets bitterly cold and windy. Gotta grab those salted caramel lattes (which I am so excited to try) while the gettin's good.

Oh well, ignore my pessimistic post. Happy fall, y'all!

*Maybe forced is a bit of a strong term...I do love a good legging

Hello, Goodbye

This weekend was a plethora of good vibes. Had a lovely drive down 35 on Thursday to Austin, AND I got to stop in Waco to see the baby brother all growed up and in college at Baylor University. Went to Austin City Limits on Friday. Had 22nd birthday celebrations on Saturday, then had another lovely drive back up 35 on Sunday with this beauty...

Being back in Texas for a weekend was such a tease. I am too excited for the next time I get to go home...you'd think it was my first year in college the way I've been getting homesick lately. But I have been thinking...I am always going to miss some place that I have lived in before no matter where I am living. If I was at home in Houston I would be missing New York or (dare I say it?) Norman just as much. So, I am trying to teach myself how to be comfortable no matter where I am. Where to start with that lesson I have no idea.

Engagements and Music Festivities

Am I the only one who thinks we're too young to begin this whole getting-married process? My friend, Cat, got engaged over the weekend. So happy for her and her fiance, but so (SO) not ready to be engaged myself.

 On another note, Austin City Limits is this weekend along with my birthday. Come one, come all to A,TX!

Loungin'

Here's to you, 917 Chautauqua for housing me. I love you even with all your little flaws, including your jicky locks and leaky faucets. As you may know I finally completed the furniture hunt for my room by finding a chair for my desk. What you may not know, however, is that it was 15 (that's right, 15!) dollars. I've had such a lovely time lounging around with roommates, cooking dinner, and having friends over with you. So here's to the next year to come, wish it could be longer but unfortunately this little girl has to graduate.
